Corner House
Dulwich
London
Nestled on a prominent corner in Dulwich, Melbourne Grove is a refined transformation of a former public-house-turned-apartments into one light-filled home. The scheme reinterprets the site’s civic past with quiet elegance, balancing material warmth, crafted thresholds, and deep spatial clarity.
From street level, the restored brickwork and crisp precast concrete parapet frame a confident urban presence. Above, a new rooftop pavilion in muted green metalwork offers garden views and an unexpected sense of retreat. Internally, carefully layered volumes and filtered light bring intimacy to circulation spaces, while full-height joinery and finely detailed apertures elevate everyday rituals.
Every element is tuned to its context, from the rhythm of the façade, to the grain of timber screens, creating a calm and coherent intervention that feels both grounded and generously open.
